(Seed grown)
The phyllodes (the correct name for the leaves) on many Acacias can be coarse or leatherlike, which is a water-saving adaptation to the harsh climate they inhabit.
Not so with this Candelarbra Wattle. The leaves are velvety soft and shimmer in the sun, creating a stunning overall effect on a breezy day. Fingers of golden flowers adorn the outer branches during winter, followed by interesting seed pods.
This plant is an excellent option for a quick screen when a vine has nothing to climb.
