Banksia alliacea (Syn. Dryandra nervosa)
It's a shame that this little Banksia is so hard to find seed of as its a star in the garden. Foliage unfurls like a red-felty fern frond before hardening off to a rich, deep green leaf with leatherlike toughness. Flowers are mostly concealed in the foliage but still visible. An easy adaptor to more gardens with sun, good drainage and airflow. Get them while they last.
