(Seed grown)
If you think children and pets are hard to photograph, try convincing the Whispery Wattle to quit dancing about for a brief moment. The impossibly thin leaves (phyllodes for the nerdy types) flit about in the lightest breeze, adding movement and grace to the garden. Golden pom-pom flowers emerge in the late winter to bring a bit of razzle-dazzle to an otherwise dreary time of year.
Fortunately, Gerhard Bock, who pens the wildly popular blog Succulents and More, allowed me to use his photos, sparing my sanity.
