(Seed Grown)
Alstroemeria ligtu ssp. simsii is a 2–3 ft. perennial bulb from Chile, that is hard to miss with fiery shades of orange, and red. This medium-sized show stopper loves well-drained soil and full sun. Hardy to 20°F, it can handle light frost, though mulching helps in colder zones. Its exotic, trumpet-shaped flowers are pollinator magnets, drawing in bees and hummingbirds. Perfect as a cut flower, it offers long-lasting, striking color in arrangements.
