Green flowers? Yep, you read that right. Anigozanthos viridis proves that you don't need flashy reds and yellows to steal the show. Native to the winter-wet southwest of Western Australia, this uncommon kangaroo paw produces velvety lime-green flowers that seem to glow against its blue-grey foliage.
It's an easy, long-flowering perennial for well-drained soils, attracting hummingbirds and adding a touch of the unexpected to refinement to gardens. Sometimes the quiet ones really do have the most personality.

I just received this from Waltzing Matilija; have a crazy love for green flowers. The plant itself is super healthy-looking, typical of WM 'Big Fella' plants. I haven't had a lot of success with this type of plant from other nurseries, but the ones from WM have such great root growth and are in proper soil to start, so they really thrive. Troy's excellent packaging also makes sure plants arrive in fine condition (best packaging of any nursery, and I've bought from many over the years).
