Banksia sceptrum
Sceptre Banksia makes no effort at all in hiding its 6-8" flowers. This eye poppers blooms are terminal (end of the branch) which makes for excellent cut flowers. I grow the shrubby form which has a much better garden scale than the larger, tree form. Does very well in hot, dry locations with low summer humidity.
