Chamelaucium ‘FIRST MAYA’ is a very early flowering waxflower that produces soft creamy-white blooms on long, cuttable stems. Flowers open over an extended period through the cool season, giving a steady harvest rather than a single flush. The plant carries a strong crop of buds along upright, well-branched stems, making it useful for both cut flower production and ornamental planting.
 
Like most waxflowers, it performs best in full sun and sharply drained soils. It handles heat and light frost once established, but doesn’t tolerate wet or heavy ground. In anything other than sandy soils, it’s better suited to containers or raised beds where drainage can be controlled and winter flowering performance can be maximized.
