(Seed Grown)
A sweet little rhizomatous perennial that grows on rocky mountainsides in Sth Africa. I haven't had too much experience growing it but this little chap does prefer good drainage and relatively light soil for its chunky yellow/orange roots to explore.
Has a similar appearance to Anigazanthos (Kangaroo Paw) when out of flower. When it's in flower there's no mistaking it.

Troy is right, this plant does look like a Kangaroo Paw when all you see is foliage. But I bought it (based on the photo he has on the website) for the flowers, and it didn't disappoint. Purchased in October 2025, and put out a bloom stalk this Spring; I'm hoping to have more blooms as the plant multiplies. I've attached some photos...look at those gorgeous little flowers! Unlike any other plant I own.
Well packed/protected plant. Good size with new growth.
Bad news. Arrow our Border Collie got to the leaves with my back turned. Can't wait for new growth
