I kid you not, Eremophila nivea has sent more nursery visitors to the chiropractor with whiplash than any other plant — it’s that striking. Silvery-grey, woolly foliage gives it a soft, almost frosted look year-round, while clusters of pale lilac to soft purple tubular flowers float out at the edge of the stems in late winter- spring, hummingbird- and bee-friendly without demanding attention. It thrives in full sun with well-drained soil, tolerates drought beautifully, and benefits from minimal pruning to maintain shape.
Low-maintenance, hardy, and quietly impressive, it’s perfect for adding texture and subtle color to a dry, sunny garden.
