(Seed Grown)
Limited numbers on this one—I’m holding a few back for cutting propagation since the dust-like seed and microscopic seedlings nearly did my head in. Now that they’ve sized up, we’re back on speaking terms.
Nursery gripes aside, this is a showy little South African shrub that usually stays around 2–3' tall and wide. In fall and winter, the branches are smothered in soft pink tubular flowers (a bit wider than most Ericas), making it a real standout. It thrives in sandy, acidic, well-drained soil and loves full sun, with some shelter from hot, dry winds.
Heavy clay? Go with a berm or a large container. Once established, it’s drought-tolerant but appreciates the occasional deep soak. Give it sun, drainage, and a little space, and it’ll happily earn “garden bestie” status.
