Foliage fans - this one is for you. The Bat's-wing Coral Tree ranges from rainforest margins out into the arid and open woodlands, mainly in the northern portion of Australia. Although tropical in range, it’s proven to handle some mild frosts in the warmer regions of the Bay Area. Typically deciduous durning the summer months, it holds if foliage much longer in a garden setting. The leaves are usually absent during eh late Winter and Early Spring which coincides with the flowering period.
