Eucalyptus macrocarpa is one of several Mallee Eucalyptus that we grow. All are well-behaved and have numerous features that endear them to gardeners.
 
This lanky character stops everyone in their tracks with its monster gold-tipped, red flowers contrasted against the ghostly leaves. The woody fruits are fun for floral design, crafts, or for throwing at folks who think all Eucalyptus are invasive pests plotting to take over the world.
