Finally, a fertilizer developed explicitly to meet the needs of the Protea family of plants.

I've spent years tinkering with retail and commercial fertilizers, trying to find something that would provide the proper nutrients to my plants without overdoing the nutrient load or giving them too much of what they don't need - looking at you, Mr. Phosporus!

Nothing ever worked as I wanted, so I crafted Gondwanaland Protea Fertilizer™.

The portions are just right to make your plants perky without the sugar high produced by the high nitrogen options available. It's up to a 3-4 month blend that you can apply to the soil during the Fall or Spring. Unlike meals that need to be scratched into the top layer of the soil, Gondwanaland Protea Fertilizer™ can be applied directly to the surface, avoiding any disturbance to the delicate feeder roots that hang out in the top few inches of the soil profile.

A handy Scoop is included.

Note: This product ships throughout the USA without the restrictions that apply to live plants. If you live in a state or region with shipping restrictions, please visit our contact page and provide your name and address. I'll then email you an invoice with a payment link. I also find the website's limitations frustrating, so I appreciate your patience.

    Finally, a perfect Protea food

In the past, I had asked Troy about how to properly feed my Protea family plants, and he told me that it was difficult to find one retail product, and recommended a mix of what to look for...I ended up with 3 products. Then he made this fertilizer; not just easier, it really works! A month after using it, all my plants had flushed new leaves, a Grevillea that hadn't bloomed for years put out a few blooms, and Grevillea 'Superb' pumped out over 2 dozen blooms (close-up photo attached). Wow!

    Gondwanaland Protea Fertilizer 3lb

Today I received the 3lb Gondwanaland Protea Fertilizer, was I excited well maybe if I opened the package and found a banksia or two but not so much for the fertilizer although I was really happy to have this. If I’m going to grow plants outside of their native range of Australia and South Africa I need everything possible to keep them healthy and growing strong year after year. It is so comforting to have a fertilizer with the proper NPK ratio as well as the micronutrients for these plants.

Looking forward to the ease of this fertilizer

The grevillea ordered is a healthy specimen in beautiful shape. I am very pleased. I look forward to using the fertilizer for my many Proteaceae.
