(Cutting Grown)
Grevillea' Robyn Gordon' is one of the classic Australian garden shrubs, or the OG as the kids say these days. It's prized for its bright red, nectar-rich flowers that bloom almost all year. It's tough, fast-growing, and bird-friendly, making it a must-have in low-maintenance gardens. Plant it in full sun with well-drained soil, and it'll thrive with little water once established.
It was named in memory of Robyn Gordon, the daughter of David Gordon, an Australian plantsman and founder of the Myall Park Botanic Garden in Queensland. The hybrid first flowered in the 1960s and became one of the first grevilleas widely grown in home gardens. Its long flowering period and reliability helped spark interest in native Australian plants for landscaping. Today, it's one of the most popular and recognizable grevilleas in the world.
