(Seed Grown)
Leucospermum rodolentum may look understated most of the year, but come spring it steals the show. Its clean grey foliage forms a neat, rounded shrub, and soft yellow, fragrant (though my nose can’t always be trusted) pincushion flowers rise just above the leaves, attracting birds without dominating the garden.
It thrives in full sun, well-drained, acidic soil, and once established it’s quite drought tolerant. Give it space, air, and minimal fuss, and it becomes a quietly impressive, low-maintenance centerpiece.
