Phymaspermum acerosum or Athanasia acerosa... honestly, who can keep up with these name changes... is another fine candidate for the home gardener of cut flower grower with little water to spare. With no summer water, the foliage goes into a semi dormant state during summer before fluffing up again in the fall. With a regular drink it stays buoyant all year with soft, silver foliage. Cut back periodically to rejuvenate.
