This is such a cool little plant, but to be honest, it's not the longest-lived unless the drainage is really good, like "grow it in a container unless you have that decomposed granite in Southern California" good. This is a richly colored (flower) version of the species that erupts during the warmer months. Great for detailed floral designs.
